Camp Counselor Positions at The Lodge & Day Care Camp

We are taking applications for a manager P/T , possible F/T here at the Lodge as we expand our services. We are also looking to fill a p/t to f/t position opened by a vet tech students move & summer internship. • Must be a mature 18 or older adult with own reliable transportation
• Desire a pet career to include holistic nutrition, animal behavior, science & training
• Mentoring and training on the job provided, a paid working career education for the right person

• Animal behavior & training education will take your own time for homework and mentoring sessions.

• Opportunity to learn Animal Reiki, Hands on Healing and other energy healing modalities

•Training includes working with dogs and cats though may also include horses, birds, etc

• Obtain the American Red Cross First Aid & CPR Certification for Cats and Dogs within 90 days of starting work

Can you embrace these responsibilities?

• Managing & caring for dogs in play groups
• Retail & inventory work: includes stock duties and sales of holistic pet supplies
• Facility is indoor/outdoor so candidate must dress to enjoy all types of weather
• Cleaning facility: Includes cleaning crate & suites, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, dishes, laundry, etc.
• Ground maintenance: Includes cleaning up after dogs, toy pick up, lite snow removal, water plants, etc.
• Facility is indoor/outdoor so candidate must enjoy all types of weather. Many dogs love playing in snow!
• Due to boarding dogs, facility is open 365 days per year so schedule often includes holidays and weekends. We do team work to cover holidays, split shifts available.
• Capable of lifting 40lbs bag of dog feed

Working here is rewarding and fun for those who enjoy interacting and playing with dogs. This fills the better part of each day however since dogs can't clean up after themselves we have to. Job can be physically demanding at times as your on your feet, moving around with the dogs and cleaning.
