Morgan

Morgan crossed over the Rainbow Bridge before he should have. I believe he lived life so fully in his shortened time that it encompassed all that it was meant to do. He had a heart for every creature, canine & feline. The mighty Morgan, a gentle giant, loved our office kitty, NV (
Night
Vistor). He
always had to have his morning greeting & goodbye kiss on every visit.
He loved adventure, swimming, kiddy pools, ice cubes, talking balls & tug of war. He is the only dog I know to hold one end of a toy calmly and let the other dog, large or small, shake, rattle and roll the other end. Once, a little beagle friend Bailey let go of a rubber toy that was stretched taunt like a rubber band. Morgan just stood still holding the other end when it returned to it's form with a swish. I moved in thinking "oh oh" somebody could be hurt but I swear Morgan smiled as if to say "Chill, I won't harm the little guy. I'm having FUN!" Back to the same game they went. Every time they saw each other here one or the other would grab the rubber ring toy and invite the other to their special game of "tug", Mutt & Jeff style.
Below find him bobbing for hot dogs at our Halloween'08 party. He was the smart one who stood in the pool and scooped up a mouthful of water and strained out the hot dogs much like a whale eating plankton. Notice how all the other dogs respect his right to be the only dog inside bobbing? He was loved by all and we all miss him dearly.
Morgan may the angels guard you and keep you pain free running through the evergreen grass over the rainbow bridge until you are joined again with your mom. I love you Morgan, thank you for sharing your life, joy & love with me too. I wish I could hold your big mug one more time for one more kiss. I miss you buddy, warm woofs forever!
Fenn 1997 - 2011 and the Birth of the Fenn Fund Legacy
Fenn came to Country Hospetality to stay as a special needs dog in Oct' 2010. The love for life in his eyes and heart made it so easy to fall in love with him immediately. He was happy and determined to show his independence regardless that at the time he had lost the use of his back legs, scooting his back end to get around. I shared with the family a website for disabled dogs where folks can buy or sell used equipment, commenting sometimes people will donate equipment to honor the passing of their dog. That's exactly what happened! Fenn received a wheelchair for free and now his owners wish to pass on the wheelchair to another dog in need to honor him, keeping the chain of love alive. Let this be the legacy of Fenn, people giving a gift of love to help another animal in need. Fenns passing for Country Hospetality is the birth of the "Fenn Fund", a non-monatray, special needs equipment gift giving service and resource database. If you know of an animal with special needs or have special need equipment let us know. We will see that the equipment is given as a gift to continue the legacy of Fenn and honor your pet too.

I knew you for a short time Fenn but I will remember you and your family forever! I hope to grow the Fenn Fund for disabled, handicapped and special needs animals in our community. I know you are now freely running through the grass at the Rainbow Bridge. God Bless you for the lessons and love you shared with me. Thank You. May your legacy grow to help many more pets! Farewell now my friend.

Shakiaya, my love, I miss you so. Your time was cut short without understanding yet the lesson I learned is to never accept life beyond the moment. Each moment is precious and the last moment we have before the next. Things can change in only a moment. I wish I could give you one more hug ,one more ball, one more water hose playtime, one more moment of love, just one more anything of time with you...
| Just this
side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been
especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are
meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play
together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm
and comfortable.
|
| All the
animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who
were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them
in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content,
except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who
had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but
the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright
eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the
group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and
faster.
You have been spotted, and when you
and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands
again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of
your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge
together....
